Illustrator David Harris has one approach when it comes to his paintings, “When the power goes out, I will still be working.”
Inspired by artists such as John Pound, Mark Texaria, Alex Ross, Frank Frazetta, the brothers Hildebrandt, Rankin/Bass, and Larry Elmore; David seeks to create vibrant and energetic works that elicits a nostalgic response of the art styles of yesteryear.
David graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelors in Fine Arts and Graphic Design. David started with children’s book illustrations and has been branching further into young adult and fantasy illustrations. He resides in his home in Kansas City where he brings his imagination to his canvases and regrets ever becoming an adult.
